We have recently been instructed on two services after being approached to help satisfy some defects raised by Local Authority Building Control on an installed timber frame extension.

L1B SAP Justification Report for the whole dwelling to demonstrate compliance of Part L Building Regulations. This is due to excessive glazing in the timber frame extension so it will need to be compensated with other features.

Structural Design & Calculation report for the roof structure of the timber frame.

Without both of these reports it won’t be possible for the homeowner to get a final certificate for the works from Building control. After receiving the enquiry and having a chat with the client, we requested quotes from our supply chain team and packaged up a quote for both of the reports within a week. Since being instructed we have instructed our team through our portal and reports are underway to be delivered back to the client next week.
